Gunmen abduct ex-NMA scribe’s son in Ogun

Gunmen have abducted Ademola Alayaki, son of former National Secretary of the Nigerian Medical Association, Adewunmi Alayaki.

Ademola, 25, was abducted at his father’s farm in Isaga Orile, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident.

Meanwhile, the gunmen have contacted the family, demanding N20 million for Ademola’s release.

Gunmen on Thursday also killed a fourth-year male student of the Rivers State University (RSU).

The identity of the deceased was not ascertained at press time but he was said to be in Management Sciences department.

Campus sources said his killer was also of the same department.

It was gathered that the killing was sequel to a battle for territorial supremacy between Vikings and Ku Klux Klans (KKK) cult groups.

The suspected killer was arrested by campus security men and handed over to the police, a source said, adding that the deceased was shot in the head.

He was said to have died instantly.
