EDO State Government has said that there is only one state House of Assembly in the state, noting that those who converge at the Assembly complex on Ring Road, which is undergoing reconstruction, are “dissident lawmakers” who were suspended by their colleagues.

This comes as the Majority Leader of the state House of Assembly, Mr. Philip Shaibu, urged the suspended lawmakers in the House to obey court rulings rather than continue to make mockery of the nation’s democracy which Nigerians, particularly the Nigerian media, fought doggedly to achieve.
