Osun Election Tribunal Admits Exhibits from 17 LGAs

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday tendered form EC8A used in 17 local government area in the August 9 governorship election in Osun State.

The PDP candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore, had gone to Court to challenge the results of 17 local governments, out of 30 local government area in the state, contending that they were marred by irregularities.

PDP’s lead Counsel, Dr. Alex Izinyon (SAN),  tendered Certified True Copies (CTC) of the documents which were  admitted as exhibits by the tribunal.

Among the local governments are: Ede South, Ejigbo, Ifelodun, Ilesa East, Irepodun,  Irewole, Iwo, Obokun, Atakumosa East, Boripe, and Ede North.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Elizabeth Ikpejime, had earlier informed the parties that any objections to the admissibility of exhibit should be raised in the final address.

However, Counsel to the respondents, Chief Akin Olujimi (SAN), Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) and Ayotunde Ogunleye, have been directed to make their objections known in their final address.
