The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, will on Tuesday present the 2015 budget proposal to the state house of assemble for consideration and approval.

Oshiomhole also forwarded the name of Dennis Idahosa from Oviia South-West Local Government Area as a commissioner nominee to the state legislature for confirmation.

The governor’s message, conveyed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Julius Ihonvbere, and addressed to the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Uyi Igbe, did not, however, indicate the size of the budget.

It was gathered that the governor had on December 10, last year, made a budget presentation estimated at N159.213 billion, which the state house of assembly reviewed upward to N160 billion and passed on January 22, 2014.

Speaker of the house, noted that it was the first time a budget estimate presentation would be presented to house of assembly by any state governor in the country.
