Chief Judge of Edo State, Justice C.O. Idahosa, has said the late Mrs Felicia Ebodeamhe Ogwemoh, mother of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Sylva Ogwemoh lived a good life with worthy legacies, just as the  Edo State Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice, Mr Henry Idahagbon, described her death  a painful one.

These legal personalities were among dignitaries who witnessed  a requiem mass held in honour of the late  Ogwemoh, held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Agenebode, Edo State. Others at the mass were  Justice Tom Yakubu of the Court of Appeal, Enugu, Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Lagos and his wife, while a Supreme Court Judge, Justice Walter Onnoghen was represented his wife, Nkoyo.

Lawyers from the Lagos branch of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, were led by their Chairman, Mr Martin Ogunleye, to the event. In a condolence message, the Chief Judge of Edo State, Justice  Idahosa, who was unable to attend the event  pointed out that the late Ogwemoh left worthy legacies and lived a good life.

“However for myself, my wife and family and on behalf of all Hon. Judges and entire staff of Edo State Judiciary, I hereby convey our heartfelt sympathies to you and the entire members of your family,” Justice Idahosa said. Edo State AG, Idahagbon, noted that even though the deceased was 90-year-old, “it was never without pain to lose such a beloved one.”

He urged members of Ogwemoh family to be consoled with the fact that the deceased lived a fulfilled and accomplished life and is now taking her well-deserved rest in perfect peace. In a tribute to her mother-in-law (late Ogwemoh), Mrs Priscilla stated: “I learnt a lot from you particularly in the area of being hospitable and entertaining visitors. I remember how compassionate you always were and how you could not bear to see people in pains.

“Besides your generosity, kindness, care and compassion for those around you, I will always remember you as someone with a good heart and a great capacity for tolerance and perseverance.” National Association of Catholic Lawyers- Lagos Archdiocese, on their part, prayed that the memories of late Ogwemoh bring comfort to all members of the family.

“We, the National Association of Catholic Lawyers- Lagos Archdiocese, offer our deepest sympathy on the transition of your mother. The Association will book Masses for the repose of her soul. May the soul of your mother and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace,” they asserted.
