Ayotunde Richards, a gospel singer and former member of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) and a 23-year-old blogger Adewale Ajimosogbe remanded over alleged cyberbullying and libel are still in prison seven days after they were granted bail by Federal High Court in Lagos.

The duo were accused of libelling the MFM General Overseer, Daniel Olukoya.

SaharaReporters learnt on Wednesday that the duo were yet to meet their bail conditions seven days after the Lagos court granted them bail.

In a ruling on Wednesday, April 24, Ambrose Allagoa, the presiding judge, said the charges against the duo were bailable.

They are to provide sureties with landed properties in Lagos but both of them had yet to perfect their bail condition one week after.

SaharaReporters gathered that Ajimosogbe was arrested for re-publishing a SaharaReporters’ story on Richard’s N15.5-billion-naira fundamental human rights case against the MFM leader, Davidson Adejuwon and the Nigeria police.

A relation of Ajimosogbe, on Wednesday, told SaharaReporters that the reason why he was still in prison was because the bail condition was tough.

The family source said, “As of this moment, Adewale has not met the bail condition. We are having difficulties because of the condition imposed. The judge demanded a surety with a landed property in Lagos.”
