The Justice Elizabeth Ikpejime-led Osun governorship election petition tribunal will tomorrow deliver judgment on the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its governorship candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore.

Omisore and PDP are challenging the victory of Governor Rauf Aregbesola of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the August 9, 2014 governorship election in 17 local government areas of the state.

He alleged that the August 9 governorship election was characterised by irregularities, and urged the tribunal to nullify the election in the affected local governments and declare him the winner.

The Secretary of the tribunal, Mr. Adamu Aliyu, on telephone with our correspondent confirmed that the tribunal will deliver judgment on the petition tomorrow.

Members of the PDP had after the submission of the final address by both the petitioners and defendants penultimate week had gone to town singing victory songs along the major streets in Osogbo that the tribunal had declared their candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore winner.

The news which spread like wild fire around the state as residents of state were making inquiries  from government officials and journalists to find out the true position concerning the sitting at the tribunal.
