Ogun State Chief Judge, Justice Olatokunbo Olopade, has charged customary court judges to exhibit a high sense of responsibility without fear or favour in the discharge of their judicial duties.

Justice Olopade said this on Tuesday at the swearing-in ceremony of 46 customary court judges at the High Court premises,   Isabo, Abeokuta.

She noted that appointment of the judicial officers into the state Judiciary was expected to strengthen the dispensation of justice in the state.

She added that they were expected to be thorough, painstaking and courageous in handling matters before them.

She said: “As a customary court judge, you are to be focused, dedicated, vibrant, thorough and painstaking in the discharge of your judicial duties.”

The Chief Judge warned the new customary court judges to shun vices detrimental to their calling as the state would not condone any form of corruption and corrupt practices from officers, noting that the Judicial Service Commission would continue to sanction erring staff judges appropriately.
