The chairman, Nigeria Bar Association NBA Awka branch, Barrister Gabriel Muoneke has called on the judiciary to ensure that justice is meted to the Nigerian citizenry without fear or favour, irrespective of status or class.
He said it would take a fearless and courageous judiciary to arrest the many anomalies hindering the development of Nigeria.
Speaking after a one-day programme of Anambra State Indigenous Lawyers Forum held in Awka, Muoneke called on the forum to aim at championing the course of justice and strive towards the sustenance of democracy as a noble organization.
“It is the responsibility of the legal practitioners, particularly judges to ensure that justice is respected and applied at all times in every situation so that the nation’s democratic governance could be a reference point,” he added.
