A Federal High in Lagos has further adjourned till February 17, 2016 for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to open its case against a former  Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Patrick Akpolobokemi, charged with N3.4bn fraud.

Akpobolokemi was arraigned on December 3, 2015 alongside nine others before Justice Saliu Saidu.

His co-accused persons are Capt. Ezekiel Agaba; Ekene Nwakuche; Felix Bob-Nabena; Capt. Warredi Enisouh; Governor Juan; Ugo Frederick and Timi Alari.

The accused had pleaded not guilty and were admitted to bail by the judge.

Their trial which was scheduled to begin on Friday could however not go on due to the absence of the 6th defendant (Governor Juan) in court.

The judge consequently fixed February 17 and 18 for trial.
