E-Hailing Drivers protest in Lagos, call for increase in fares to reflect Economic realities

Some Uber and Bolt e-cab drivers in Lagos on Saturday asked the e-hailing companies to immediately increase fares being charged by the operators.

The E- hailing drivers under the aegis of Professional E-hailing Drivers and Private Owners Association (PEDPA), made their demands known as they embarked on a protest.

Speaking to TVC NEWS, President of the association, Idris Shonuga, decried the ill treatment meted on drivers of the platform.

Mr. Shonuga noted that the protest will continue for a week after which they will take further measures if both platforms refused to adhere.
