Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the State House of Assembly, Central Bank of Nigeria and state Agricultural and multi-purpose credit agency have been dragged before the Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta over a sum of two billion Naira loan.

A Non Governmental Organisation; Advocacy for Integrity and Economic Development which filed the suit sought for four relief and a restraining order against the governor and other defendants from disbursing the money which belongs to the CBN.

The two billion naira was said to be meant for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs, development fund of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

The governor had on September sought the approval of the House over the fund and got the passage from the House.

But, the NGO in a bid to stop the government and other stakeholders from disbursing it, went to the Federal High Court and sought for an order restraining the CBN, it’s agents or any other person from allowing the government  getting access to the fund.

The presiding judge, Folashade Ogunbanjo after listening to all the parties adjourned the case to December 10, 2014 for hearing.

Labour union commends Amosun

Meantime, the Chemical and Non Metallic Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, CANMPSSAN, has commended the Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s led government in Ogun State, especially in the area of infrastructure.

President of CANMPASSAN, Mr. Abdul Gafar Mohammed, who made the commendation at the opening of the union’s 19th annual national Management / Industrial Relations seminar in Abeokuta, said the governor had turned the fortune of the state around within the shortest time he took over the mantle of leadership in the state.
