As the leadership crisis in the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) lingers, a member of the Abia state chapter of the association, Mr David Onyebuchi Amalaha has approached the Umuahia division of the Abia state High Court, urging it to sack the national executive led by Ejezie Emeka Rollas. He also prayed the court to make three orders and grant him the sum of N50 million as general damages.
In the suit marked HC/UM/CS/92/2025, and filed on his behalf by Dr UR Ndubuka, the Plaintiff, a member of the Abia state chapter of the AGN joined Rollas as the defendant representing the national executive of the AGN, Abuja.
He is praying the court to set aside the election that produced Rollas as the national president and his executives. He, in addition, asked the court to mandate Rollas and his executives to stop parading themselves as the national officers of the AGN and awarded N50 million damages. He also wants the court to order that all monies withdrawn from the account of AGN since 2019 till date by the defendant be returned to the account of the association.
