*Back Mbaka on prediction

The Civil Liberty Organization, CLO, Enugu Chapter and an Enugu-based lawyer, Ray Nnaji, were, yesterday, in Enugu, united in canvassing a brand new political party that will take the country out of economic woods following the perceived failures of the All Progressives Congress, APC-led government and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The duo were reacting separately, to predictions by the Enugu-based Catholic priest and founder, Adoration Ministry, Enugu State, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, who had last Tuesday, warned President Muhammad Buhari, that he may lose the 2019 presidential election on account of the acute hunger and poverty prevalent in the country since his assumption of office.

Mbaka who has been a staunch supporter of theBuhari’s administration said: “The sufferings in the country is becoming unbearable,” even as he questioned the credentials of those appointed by Buhari to man the economic ships. However, board member, CLO, Enugu State chapter, Mr. Danjuma Gambo, said: “What Mbaka said is the correct situation in the country.

Buhari is very unfortunate to have come into governance when the situation was bad because all the indices are against economic growth.” Talk of the falling price of crude oil, militancy in the Niger Delta, currency devaluation among others.

All these things do not help his administration. “PDP did not help matters either because they did not plan for today. APC equally is without a plan and that is why it is affecting the common man. A new political party is what we need now. A new party with new plan, ideology that will bring succour to the sufferings of Nigerians is the answer.”
